Visual Identity Guidelines
Introduction
Disability Voices United is a California-based grassroots organization dedicated to advocating for the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of people with disabilities.
Created and directed by and for people with developmental disabilities and our families, we center the voices of disabled people in decision-making processes that impact our lives.
Our visibility is important both within the disabled community and in the wider universe of lawmakers, agencies, and other organizations that shape and provide services and support.
To maximize that visibility, it is essential to maintaining consistency of our visual messaging, across all our various programs and media. And our materials must always reflect the highest standards of acessibility, incuding maximum legibility and the principals of plain language.
The logo, and all our visual branding, should conveys a message of advocacy, collaboration, and the power of unified voices in promoting disability rights and inclusion
Consistent application of the visual elements of our brand — logo, typography, color, and composition — plays a critical role in its impact and recognizability. This manual provides guidelines for the correct application of all elements of our visual identity.
